
The Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute Mid-Year is our second event and our way to check in with Action Teams and Individuals that attended CGTI the previous summer over the course of a weekend. Participants that attend the Mid-Year will get to re-energize, re-engage and evaluate the progress on their action plans made in July.

Students that attend Mid-Year will:
Attend a keynote and workshops pertaining to their leadership interests
Connect and reconnect with like-minded peers in small group team building sessions and short engagement activities
Work with students from their community or shared geographic area on evaluating, updating and adding to their action plans from July of the previous year or creating new plans
Enjoy camp-wide events including a celebration dance
Leave with developed leadership and communication skills, future readiness tools, resources for community advocacy and 11 service hours!
Adult Mentors can attend CGTI with their groups!
Adult Mentors will be responsible for facilitating Action Planning meetings, attending Adult Mentor sessions and supporting overall student wellbeing, while also having free time to work, relax and collaborate. CEUs are available for Adult Mentors. IABH Staff, CGTI Leadership Team, CGTI Volunteer Staff and the CGTI Nurse will be responsible for overall participant supervision and safety during the conference.
Levels of Participation

Middle School
Middle School Participants are currently in 6th–8th grade.

High School
High School Participants are currently 9th–12th.

PALS
Anyone who attended as PALS the previous summer will apply as a High School Participant.

Youth Staff
Anyone who attended as Youth Staff last year that is a current senior will apply as a High School Participant. Graduates will apply for Volunteer Staff.

Volunteer Staff
Volunteer Staff are 18+ and have graduated high school. Staff that have served more than two years can apply for Leadership Team.

Adult Mentor
Adult Mentors are 21+ and are bringing a community of student participants (Action Team). Adult Mentors facilitate Action Team meetings.
